In the last few months, I have come across some websites, mostly misspelled that can lead to a “Your Windows computer is locked” full screen message.. Other than identifying your IP, I haven’t seen anything actually happen to these computers. Norton Antivirus doesn’t prevent this message as of April 2023.
To fix the computer, on the left side of the keyboard press [Ctrl][Shift][Esc]. the task manager will appear.
Find your browser, right click and close.
If you can identify the site from your browsers history, put an entry in your hosts file to block.
