Took quite a while to work on this one. Tried removing and reinstalling programs, dism repair, sfc and network reset to no success. even changed search folders.

Last solution, removed all virtual sync drives, dism, sfc, rebooted, Office 365 online repair, looked in registry for odd entries under classes->explorer, then reinstalled.

— Office push notification handler was faulty.. back to full speed.
